While at the Vermilion show I bought one of the spoon caddies. I came home and went to work putting all the spoons I had in it. I forgot and left the light on in the room I had them sitting and when I came in a little later and turned it off I noticed a slight glow coming from the box. On investigation I found several spoons were glowing. I had no clue that they did that. I was wondering how many used this type of spoon, when, and why?

To each there own but I don't and have not used them.I think some thing like that would work well in a lake that was murky-stained or just plain dirty but with Erie being so clear it seems we all are trying to tone down or stuff.I bet they would work but I don't go looking for that kind of lures.Just my opinion.

Sometimes the glow helps. Probably on clowdy days or stained water. You don't want a real brite glow though. I know of guys that put a single glow bead on their harnesses. Said any more than that is to brite, but the single does help them catch fish.

I know from my ice fishing experiences that glow jigs outfish regular jigs probably 4-1. I can't believe it would be a whole lot different in the lake, especially deep water. Try them and let us know how they work. I've never used them but have used some glow lures after dark and they work.

I will try them and see. the colors are acid rain (streak) Monkey Shine, Ice Frog, Red Glow, Micheal Jackson, Jawbreaker, and Kfc Special (stingers.) I had a lot of luck on monkey shine last year. But like I said I didn't know it glowed.

A charter friend represents a company that produces some glow spoons out of Michigan. He gave me a few last spring and they definitely made a believer of me ...they flat out caught fish. Always at dawn and dusk and also when I ran 'em deep!

Before the sun came out on Saturday, I had my partner down 4 to 0 using the moonshine spoons. He now believes.
