 This is a way to get you all to read this post Form Conan....... I was going to drive over an hour to the meeting tonight... And guess what  , Mr Bob Why called me on my cell phone  what a great surprise to tell me that the meeting for tonight was canceled  because of a little SNOW HA HA P's I was plowing the white stuff....If all of men and gals that are taking a active part in the NEW NORTH COAST ANGLERS Club are as considerate as Bob Why . This club will be a club that everyone should be a part of  Thank you For the Call Conan  {Les}

| Waited as long as I could before I cancelled. Called the Bowling Center and the lady there told me the weather was pretty bad over there. Bib Kev had called and said it was bad there. Saw on the news, where the east side was getting hit pretty hard. Called Gary Zart and he said he was free next Tuesday. Didn't want to take a chance on anyone getting in an accident or stranded just for a meeting. I called everyone that I had a phone number for. Those that I didn't have a number for or that didn't answer the phone, got a private message. And I hope I didn't miss anyone. Let's hope for better weather next week. |

| Thank you for that Bob. I read the post you had put up and I also got the pm. I am just stubborn enough I would have been there. We live in Northen Ohio we are use to a little white stuff. LOL I kinda figured it would be I was out about 330 or so and it wasnt fun |

Good idea Kev, eliminates 1 man from doing all of the work.
Let's not assume everyone can make time during work to make those calls. Some days I can, others, no way. Depeneds what I have on my plate. Nonetheless good idea....worth talking about.

| Yes I agree also..... if we keep it to 2 people each, then no one is making a bunch of calls, and everyone gets the message..... 1 calls 2, 2 calls 4, 4 calls 8, 8 calls 16, 16 calls 32... in a short time, everyone knows, and all you had to made is 2 calls. |

| Most of you work and that is why I didn't ask anyone to make any calls. Being retired the only thing that I do on meeting day is prepare for the meeting. The hardest part was trying to decide to cancel. It didn't look that bad here. But some of you kept me informed and my wife was watching on the TV. I do need to make a list though so that I don't miss anyone. That's why I also posted it to all the websites. |

I will help to but it looks like if you just make a call to like Bigkev or kosters(the meeting place)to see if the meeting is on or off because of bad weather and just post it 45min before it starts that every one can just log on and check the meeting post to see if it is on or off.If some one wants to come and has a drive over 45min then they can just call you,I'm sure that would only be 2-3 at the most because most of us live within 45min.
Every one on here would help it's just I think this would be faster and a whole lot easier. |

Cool What i have found out in the past year by using the old forum { Bait Dave's} site, is that we all bring allot of great ideas so new fisher men and gals can experance our joys of fishing.. If we need help with Boat questions, Fish finders or were are the fish today. Or meeting info we can use the forum , the only suggestion from me would be to get the info out asap. For some of us on the East side of Cleveland a two hour time frame would be better. Because of the people driving to my house than to the meeting. Thanks Conan |

Good point conan,I just don't think there is a great plan to use but hay a call list is fine and dandie with me.
Bob if you need our home phone# and cell# just let us know or are they on the application forms? |

Who has the applications? President, Secretary??? Could possibly be a job for someone else to volunteer for... don't want to overwhelm Bob too much now... do we?
Idea: Vote on a call list/tree at the meeting Tues, and save roll call until after that vote - use "home, "work", "Cell" as your answer to roll call. |

No problem guys. Don't expect a cancellation more than 2 times a year and hopefully not that. You know the weather is always the worse on the weekends. Myself, the Treasurer and Secretary all have copies of the applications and phone numbers are on them. Cancelling the meeting is my call so I feel it should be me that notifies everyone. When I call you, if you want to help and have time just tell me who you will call. But cell phone numbers is a another thing. Do you want your cell phone number published in a thread for members only? That way everyone can call each other to find out where to fish, what to use or just to say "Hi". And Stoshu, you don't get any brownie points. |
