A big thank you goes out to every one that came and supported the NCA Tournament today. It was a beutiful day of fishing on the lake today and every one caught fish.We had some new faces today in the tournament which was nice and I must say new friends were made by every one.Welcome goes out to Tommy and Kevin,Paul and Valerie (has to be great people they are from IL) and nice to have Doug and Leanne back again.Gary Zart showed up at the entry table and it sure was nice talking with him and I'm sure he had a great day laying floors in his house and not fishing on such a nice day LOL,sorry Gary.Jason your new Starcraft boat is one sweet ride man. Well it seemed a lot of boats headed way deep and some fished the lower to middle of the sand bar as well as a few hit some good fish in close. Most fish I heard of were taken on worm harnesses and in line weights as well as dipsies.Hope to see every one at our next tournament on the 12th of next month.

Thanks again to everyone that came out and fished this event. It was a blast! We couldn't get that one big fish in the boat today that it would have taken but man did we handle some fish. Probably one of the best days I've ever had on the water. 73 eyes in one trip!!!!! I know a few of the other guys did around 50 fish as well. A big CONGRATS goes out to Jason, Stosh and Ralph on this their first tourney win. Awesome job fellas!! Harle it was nice to hear that you didn't run out of fuel this time and I heard Rocky even caught a few eyeballs in his first trip to the buoy. LOL. Great job to all and hope to see everyone at the next one.

Nice to have you both. Welcome to our little world.
Congrats to BigKev, Cranberry kid and their crews. It was definietly a battle of the 2003 class.
Yesterday had to go down as one of my most memorable trips ever. First time we had a double header catfish to boot :)...Too bad we couldn't get anything over 5.5 lbs. Most of the fish were around 4 lbs, had a couple of 17 inch cigars.
Boated 49 eyes. For the most part, the dry spells didn't last too long. Eatin sandwhiches, and smokin was nearly impossible.
Pink, red, and green blades worked well, but I don't think it really mattered, not with those numbers. They were feeding!!
3 oz 66-74 back 0 dipsy 0 setting 101 back 1 dipsy 3 setting 90 back 1 dipsy 2 seting 70 back bb 58 to 71 back. 1 on a pink squirell ripstick behind a 3 oz 74 back.
Great job to everyone. It was nice to see everyone with 5 fish to weigh in. Doesn't get much better than that.

We had a great time yesterday as it appears most others did also. We did not catch nearly as many fish as most did and the chatter on the radio did make it feel like we were doing something wrong. We fished the 35-36/16 for the most part and we picked up 4 of our 5 good fish in that area before 8am. We went thru a 3 hr dry spell and moved several times "trying" to find hungry ones. The last 35 min or so we fished in shallow water just outside of Beaver and managed to upgrade a fish and caught a total of 4 in that time. We used harnesses with inlines with no real pattern or color. It is real nice to see some new faces in the tourney as we need to continue to spread the word the fun these things are. It was so nice to see everybody with a limit. Congrads to BK and crew....can't get any closer than that!
Rob, I have already made plans for you and Stosh to spend the evening of Sept 10th together(at the River)lol
Here are a couple of pics....
Appears somebody had a rough Sat night?

Does anyone know if Beaver has overnight dockage and of a descent hotel close by? I'm thinking of running my boat over the night before the next Tx. and staying in Lorain. Thanks!

Yeah, saw him coming from a long way off, every time I turned to try to get out of his way, looked like he followed me. They came past us at about 100yds.

We heard the guys on the radio chirping about the "Love Boat" cruising the lake. You don't see a boat like that every day. Might need to put an extention on your net handle for that one. lol

Seapro, I'm not 100% sure if they do but I think so. Their info is on our sponsor list so call them and talk to Bob Wolfe. He should be able to help you out. Tell him Kevin from the North Coast Anglers club told you to call and talk to him. As far as hotels go I'm not sure about that. I know there are some in Lorain but I don't know of any that are that close. They mite allow you to pitch a tent at Beaver Park if you ask them. Let me know what you come up with.
